January

  • Training for journalists on legal issues.  In the framework of the project „Improving the media law environment in Moldova” funded by Civil Rights Defenders” (Sweden).
  • Evaluation meeting of the first stage of training in blogging for school students from the Transnistrian region. In the framework of the project Enhancing media capacity in Moldova with focus on Transnistria region and promoting civic participation among young journalists”. This project is implemented with the assistance of the Programme "Support to Confidence Building Measures” funded by the European Union, co-funded and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Funded by Civil Rights Defenders” (Sweden).
  • Release of the annual report on freedom of expression and information in the Republic of Moldova for 2012 year. Funded by Civil Rights Defenders (Sweden).

 

February

  • Launching the Freedom of expression in the Republic of Moldova Report 2012, Romanian and Russian versions: Civil Rights Defenders (Sweden).
  • Multimedia training program for 20 journalists. In the framework of the project Enhancing media capacity in Moldova with focus on Transnistria region and promoting civic participation among young journalists”. This project is implemented with the assistance of the Programme "Support to Confidence Building Measures” funded by the European Union, co-funded and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
  • Training program for civic journalists. In the framework of the project “Mass Media and the Judiciary in Moldova: Building Capacity and Accountability”, carried out by the Independent Journalism Center in partnership with the International Broadcasting Bureau, USA. The annual project is conducted with the financial support of the program of the USAID and the Innovation Fund of the United States Secretary of State.
  • Launching the Media in Moldova Guide (updated version): Civil Rights Defenders (Sweden).
