Pupils from Malaiesti and Sucleia introduced to blogging
Training "Blogurile"17.09.2012 / Two groups of pupils from the Transnistrian region have created blogs for their schools in - Mălăieşti and Sucleia. This was the result of the training program „Blogs-an instrument for the promotion of civic participation”, organized by the Independent Journalism Centre (IJC), between September 15-16 2012, in Tiraspol.
 
Journalists continue to be trained in regards to freedom of expression

The activity, which brought together 15 journalists from various regions of Moldova, aimed to improving the capacity of mass media representatives to respond properly in the cases of defamation
 
SCJ's decision: the publication Panorama did not exceed the limits of freedom of expression

07.09.2012 / The Independent Journalism Center (IJC) welcomes the Supreme Court of Justice’s (SCJ) ruling from September 5th, 2012, in which the investigative newspaper Panorama’s appeal was upheld, overturning the inferior court’s decision that the newspaper was to pay 5000 lei as moral damages to Donduseni Police Commissioner.

 
Media NGOs insist on the punishment of persons who hurt Victoria Ocara
09.08.2012 / Media NGOs express their solidarity with Jurnal TV journalist Victoria Ocara, who was aggressed yesterday in Balti, while carrying out her job. We strongly condemn the attack, which saw Ms Ocara being struck on the head by a stone thrown by a protestor, while she was reporting on  demonstrations in the city. The attack led to the journalist being hospitalized with a head wound.
 
Industrial Policy, Foreign Investment and the New Economic Paradigm

A comparison between Romania and Moldova based on productivity, foreign investment, remittances, innovation, gross added value, GDP structure. Are industrial parks and free economic zones a solution for Moldova? The role of foreign investment in the zone of industrial policies. Trends in industrial policies – from intensive industrialization to clusters and innovation. These were only some of the issues discussed by journalists and experts at the training “Industrial Policy, Foreign Investment and the New Economic Paradigm” organized by the Independent Journalism Center (IJC) in Vadul-lui-Voda between 20 and 21 July this year.
 
Professional Ethics and its Challenges in the Attention of Journalists

photo24.07.2012 / Why is journalism ethics important and how are ethical principles applied by media? Public interest versus the interest of the public – who shall be given preference in media coverage? How can controversial items be narrated in a professional manner, without violating ethical standards? These were only some of the issues discussed by a group of journalists at a training organized by the Independent Journalism Centre (IJC) between 19 and 21 July 2012.
