Pupils from Rabnita and Parcani assimilated the bases of blogging PDF Print E-mail
Elevii din Rabnita si Parcani au insusit bazele bloggingului29.10.12 / Eleven teachers and pupils from Parcani and Râbniţa participated in a training course entitled „Blogs-an instrument for the promotion of civic participation” between October 27-28 2012, in Tiraspol. The training course was organized by the Independent Journalism Centre (IJC), with the assistance of the Program “Support for Measures of Trust Promotion”, financed by the European Union and co-financed and implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

Participants in the training had the possibility to communicate and create personal blogs, as well as to find how to promote a newly created blog through social networks, and to change links. Also, the pupils have worked in groups to develop designs for blogs for their schools and to choose a logo, site name and thematic pages. The history of the school, the teachers’ day, traditions, and sport are just some of the topics that have been used in the newly created school blogs from Râbniţa and Parcani (www.rybgimnazia.wordpress.com and www.parcany1.wordpress.com).

In the opinion of Veaceslav Popescul, the director of Stels-Tera, this program is a very useful one, because the pupils can share the information obtained at the training with their colleagues and teachers, and also with the members of the community, who can read on the blogs both about the pupils’ activities and events that take place in their localities.

60 pupils and teachers from 10 schools in the Transnistrian region will participate in a range of training programs through this project. They will learn how to create a school blog and write content for it, thereby increasing the visibility of young people from the Republic of Moldova, including the Transnistrian region, as well as that of their schools and the communities which they represent.

The “Enhancing media capacity in Moldova with focus on Transnistrian region and promoting civic participation among young journalists” project is implemented by IJC in partnership with NGOs Stels Terra and Centrul Media from Tiraspol.

This project is implemented with the assistance of the Programme " Support to Confidence Building Measures” funded by the European Union, co-funded and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The overall objective of the programme is to contribute to confidence building between both banks of the Nistru River by involving local authorities, civil society organisations, business community and other stakeholders, as well as through ensuring economic and social development of local communities.
